Here are some recommendations on the 2006 elections.

INITIATIVE MEASURE NO. 920

Endorsed Vote: No

Initiative Measure No. 920 concerns estate tax. The only people who want this tax to go away are the very richest people. It's the most progressive tax we have.

INITIATIVE MEASURE NO. 933

Endorsed Vote: No

Initiative Measure No. 933 concerns government regulation of private property. This is a takings initiative that will gut all environmental regulations regarding land use. It must be stopped.

INITIATIVE MEASURE NO. 937

Endorsed Vote: Yes

Initiative Measure No. 937 concerns energy resource use by certain electric utilities.

AMENDMENT TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION ,HJR 4223

Endorsed Vote: Yes

The legislature has proposed a constitutional amendment on increasing an exemption from the personal property tax.

KING COUNTY PROPOSITION NO. 1 (“HARBOR BONDS”)

Endorsed Vote: No

AUTHORIZATION TO SELL OR EXCHANGE CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY. Selling off South Lake Union property.

KING COUNTY PROPOSITION NO. 2 (“TRANSIT NOW”)

Endorsed Vote: Yes

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM SALES AND USE TAX. Money for road repaving, buses, bike paths, pedestrian improvements.
