Democratic Presidential Primary
Hillary Clinton
Endorsed Vote: Yes
Democrat. Current Senator representing New York. Former First Lady. Controversial, misunderstood. First viable woman candidate. Has connections, knows the Washington ropes, can hit the ground running.
John Edwards
Endorsed Vote: Yes
Democrat. Former Senator representing North Carolina. 2004 Vice-Presidential candidate. Strong on economic issues, pro-labor.
Barak Obama
Endorsed Vote: Yes
Democrat. Current Senator representing Illinois. First viable candidate of color. Endorsed by Oprah Winfrey. High level of charisma; sincere, wants change, but may lack experience.
Republican Presidential Primary
Mitt Romney
Endorsed Vote: No
Republican. Former Governor of Massachusetts. Changes personality faster than an impressionist.
Ron Paul
Endorsed Vote: No Endorsement
Republican. U.S. Representative from Texas. More of a libertarian in Republican clothing; some unusual ideas. Has large and devoted internet following. Came in 2nd in recent Nevada caucus, a fact that escaped the major news media.
John McCain
Endorsed Vote: Yes
Republican. Current Senator representing Arizona. Viet Nam war hero and former prisoner of war. Close contender for 2000 Republican presidential nomination. Seen as a maverick within the Republican party, but will toe the party line. Experienced, serious, consistent. Survived "Hanoi Hilton" -- can probably survive White House.
Mike Huckabee
Endorsed Vote: No
Republican. Former Governor of Arkansas. Down-to-earth, sincere, with folksy appeal. Unfortunately is a "flat-earther" who doesn't believe in evolution but believes the Constitution should be change to conform more closely to the Bible.
Rudy Guliani
Endorsed Vote: No
Republican. Former Mayor of New York City. Saved the country during 9/11, now takes cell phone calls during speeches.
