weeding through the ballot and figuring out what actually makes sense

Prop 91--Transportation

Endorsed Vote: No Endorsement

(keeping certain funds earmarked for Transportation). Even supporters realize that this was already passed in November 2006 under Prop 1A. Should not have even appeared again.

Prop 92--Community College Funding/Fees.

Endorsed Vote: No

This is a very flawed approach to increasing funding by changing the California constitution to create a new funding mandate (and an expensive one), expand the Board of Directors and their authority to set budgets and fees (with no oversight). Not for me!

Prop 93--Term Limits.

Endorsed Vote: Yes

This improves upon the term limit restrictions passed a while back by getting rid of some of the problems with inflexibility across the two houses (California Senate/Legislature).

94-97--Expanding Indian Gaming for Certain Tribes

Endorsed Vote: No

N0, NO, NO.....wonder why? This doesn't affect our local tribes, but the principle is the same. I don't care if it does bring in revenue to the State--it ruins communities.

President

either messes stuff up or straightens it out
but usually a little bit of both

Obama

Endorsed Vote: Yes

He's got my vote.

But decide for yourself:
